Our dinner is my original recipe of broccoli and cauliflower that I call American chop suey. Asparagus can also be added although it is not always available here. The meat can be boiled chicken and/or pork that is sauteed first before adding the stock of boiling. After adding the vegetables, several minutes of boiling will do.

Why in the world do you call this AMERICAN chop suey? Doesn't sound Americanized at all. Just curious.

It is American to me because of the vegetables. Broccoli is not native here, likewise with cauliflower. So if you would say broccoli is native to Russia and not in the US then I will call it Russian chop suey.

@Alexandoy I suppose I can see your point there. Usually when people refer to "American" food they correlate it with heavy salt, fats, savory sauces and condiments etc.

I will go for it without meat. The more the veggies, the merrier it is for me

It can be a purely vegetable affair if you will not include any meat.
