Gotta start making plans for my birthday

My birthday is coming up December 24th.
I gotta start thinking about what to do that day.
I don't want to sit home alone all day and then just have an evening dinner.
I wanna be out of the house all day doing things and having fun.
And then I want a nice dinner somewhere with just hubby and I.
Or maybe also invite my parents, in-laws, my brother and his family, my uncle, and some other people.
But doing that means spending a lot of money, which I do not want to do as I am not working right now.
I can't rely on people's monetary gifts to cover the cost of the restaurant dinner and I don't want to have to spend a lot of my own money.
I don't know yet what to do that day, but the downside is that hubby works that day.
I doubt he will take off, so I will be alone anyway for most of the day, which sucks as I am usually alone pretty much every day as it is.

Advance birthday greetings, mine is on the 23rd. A friend is giving our department one roasted pork so I will take that opportunity to celebrate Christmas party also.

@florelway I don't eat pork because of hubby. He sorta keeps kosher and pork is not allowed. He doesn't eat it and so I don't either.

@lovebuglena when we were in the apartment, I would cook a special dinner for my birthday. Just me and my wife. We had a grand time because the food I cooked was great, waheehee.

I know it's hard having a birthday on Christmas Eve. Mine's Dec 29 and my granddaughter's is Dec 23. Maybe you can just get out of the house that day and pamper yourself, then you and hubby and go out to eat after he gets home. Anyway, happy birthday!

@lovebuglena Well, since your husband can't spoil you that day, do something fun to spoil yourself. If we can't on our birthday, when can we? It doesn't have to be big or expensive, maybe sleep a little later, treat yourself to something different and delish for lunch, window shop, take a nap, enjoy a smoothie at the park. Just something different, then have a good dinner out with hubby.

@1creekgirl I have to figure something out. Can't decide what I want to do yet. i definitely don't want to sleep later. I do that enough as it is. Would have been nice though if he surprised me with something on my birthday, like if he made some plans for us.

Tell hubby you really want him to take the day off from work, it's your birthday, and it would mean a lot to you to spend the day with him. That's not too much of a birthday present to ask for, is it?
