Yesterday we went to Longhorn Steakhouse because I received a discount coupon through an email. We had the Surf and Surf appetizer - Crab/Shrimp/Cheese and "chips". I don't like shrimp; so I picked out the crab. The chips were so salty they were almost inedible. Then I had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and a salad. The chicken tenders were so salty and so were the mashed potatoes. My husband had a filet topped with a crab cake, mushrooms, baked potato and salad. He was bothered by all of the salt too. The chef had a heavy hand last night and put way too much salt on everything. It almost ruined our night out; but my husband and I still love each other's company; so it wasn't a total loss! :-) Because I didn't go back on the computer when I got home, I have a TON of Discussions to read and a lot of Notifications. I will get to them ASAP; and I also need to post a couple of things. Spectrum was not able to solve my internet problem over the phone; so a tech will be coming out between 5-6 tonight (12/7). Hopefully they can solve this slow internet problem and the constant buffering. What did you have for dinner? Photo Credit: Pixabay

I would be very upset if my food was over salted. Most restaurants use little salt, and we can add our own if necessary. We went out on our Friday date night. I had a huge martini, garlic rolls, a salad, and shrimp parmigiana with a side of penne. I would have taken your shrimp. Lol!

Oh no, I am sorry to hear about the overly salted food! That would be awful to go out to eat and deal with something like that!

I would have sent everything back and told them no salt.

Talk about a salt diet. Some crab with your salt dinner?

@LindaOHio I am glad that you and your husband enjoy being together and that did not ruin your lousy meal. I do not eat dinner and after reading about what yours was like I am glad I do not eat at night.

Visited Longhorn as well while out the other day. Will write about it. Too much salt I noticed as well.
