Petco gives a grant to an animal charity in Las Vegas

Jennifer Heider and the animal shelter where she adopted her dog Pup-I were shocked to learn that her essay that she wrote to Petco who was holding a contest to grant money to a animal shelter to the winner of a contest called "Petco Foundation Holiday Wishes" to the person who in the judgement of the foundation had the best case of why their pet is their inspiration. Jennifer who adopted her dog named Pup-I mentioned in her essay that her dog inspired her to return to school and pursue a career as a veterinarian technician. What makes this story so sweet is that Jennifer and officials of The Animal Foundation were presented with a check worth $10,000 dollars from Petco officials on Saturday at the Petco store in Las Vegas on Saturday. It is nice to see a major company like Petco do their part to make contributions to animal shelters who need their assistance in assisting homeless animals find homes from loving animal owners who enjoy their company.
