HubPages did not publish one of my hubs (aka posts)

Last week I decided to publish one of my poems on HubPages. Before doing that I did a search on Google to make sure I don't have it published anywhere else as duplicate content is not allowed on HubPages, even if it is your own content. The only thing that came up is the Google books preview of one of my books that has that poem in it. I did not think that would result in duplicate content so published the poem on HubPages.
The hub was not published and the reason for it was duplicate content. I was about to post a question in the HubPages forums about it when I went to one of my blogs where I publish my poetry and other writing and noticed that that poem was published there. That would definitely result in duplicate content. Wonder why Google search did not bring up my blog when I searched for that poem online. And wish I remembered I had published my poem there.
If you keep publishing duplicate content on HubPages your account gets suspended or banned (don't remember the exact word they use). I don't want that to happen to me, so now I am not sure I wanna try posting poetry there again unless it is something newly written.

@tallawah I have many hubs that only have one image. And they are published. Is there a new rule now that you have to have more than one image in a hub?

You never know what's going to happen when you search for something. I didn't know you could post poetry there. Usually they like about 1,500 words. Good luck!

Yep. You can publish poetry there. Not sure if there is a word count minimum. There are people who publish content in addition to the poem they share. Some just publish the poem by itself. It may be great to include some content to go along with the poem but only if it is necessary and not just to increase the word count of the hub.

@lovebuglena I stayed there for about a year and cashed out with $25. I never went back. I don't know what I would write other than reviews; and I've been putting those on MyLot.

@LindaOHio How did you cash out with $25 when the minimum is $50?

@lovebuglena I'm not sure. Could be a lot of different things. I might try to post one soon.

@porwest I had some of my stuff removed from sites where it was published by someone else. I don't remember how I did it though. Cost me nothing.

@lovebuglena Yeah. It happens. And it's difficult to police. I have had it happen as well. I wish there was a better remedy for it, but unless you can prove significant damages and want to spend the money going after someone, there really is nothing we can do about it.

Maybe you should keep track of all your posts. By the way are you on Virily? Most mylotters are also there I wonder if they allow double posting there.

I am on Virily but I only publish quizzes and occasional polls. Duplicate content is not allowed there either.
