Things that happened this week

Well our schedules have been "off" all week. It goes with the season, Christmas programs and illnesses. All of which we have had. In addition, the mom of my morning student was in a serious car wreck, with two of her other kids in the car. She became nauseous, passed out, and rolled the truck end over end. They tell me that it is amazing that the boy in the back seat was not killed. My morning student is non verbal. We do not know how much he understands either. This did mess up his usual weekly schedule, we know that. I believe he at least senses some of what is going on. He is extra cuddly. Sometimes very cranky. Ann is still sick. The substitute we had one day could not handle our students because of their extra needs. Lots of meetings for my one supervising teacher. My other supervisor, John, is still dealing with the aftermath of wrecking his truck before Thanksgiving. Yesterday his wife was driving to pick him up, so they could go to another state to get an additional car from one of their kids, and a tire fell off the truck she was driving. He says it is just a "season" of bad luck and things will get better soon. I feel tired just thinking about it. Glad break is almost here.

Oh my, poor John, this surely is a season of bad luck and of course he had the problem on a Friday 13th.

He and his wife can rest easy if they get back before the snow starts.

Yeah, our little community has had a lot of accidents and tragedies this fall. Some I do not even know the details on.

Such is life. Just as long as everyone is alive is all that matters. Things will settle down soon.

I am greatly relieved it is no worse than it is. Last month, a week before Thanksgiving John rolled his truck. Walked away from the accident.

I'm glad no one was killed in that car accident. A tire falling off is SCARY. I hope this coming week is much better for everyone.

Yes, me too, and then we have sixteen days to catch up and get healthy before starting the new semester.

That is so scary the poor mom got nauseated and flipped the truck. Your nonverbal student wasn’t in the truck when it happened? Oh my gosh and what bad luck for your supervisor John and his wife.

No, dad takes my student and the younger brother to daycare, mom works about thirty miles away teaching in a Catholic school and her older two go with her to attend. Yes, John had just upgraded tires on this truck and something failed. They were leaving to go pick up a vehicle in Colorado to replace the truck he rolled a week before Thanksgiving.

What a time everyone has had. It is exhausting when you or those around you are having such a bad run of luck.

Yes, I just feel for them. My kiddo may or may not realize what has gone on for his family, but I think he senses the distress.

I am glad that it is not my turn to have transportation issues, although we did have to stop the bus for four deer to cross the road less than a mile from town yesterday morning. Glad I was not driving.
