Finally Stir Fry Yesterday

So, a few days ago I said I was going to make a stir fry, but of course I wound up ordering out for Chinese instead. But last night I finally made my stir fry. In the tradition of Porwest weird, I did not make my normal stir fry. But of course not. I cut up an onion, some celery, and some chopped carrots. I cracked two eggs and beat them and set that aside. Then I poured 1/3 cup Teriyaki sauce into a mixing cup and set that aside. I chopped my leftover pork and set that aside. A little oil in the Wok. Heated it up. Poured in the mixture of onions and celery and carrots and stir fried that a bit. Then I added in the cooked leftover pork. Stir fried a bit more. Then I poured in the beaten eggs and just let the eggs set. Popped open the box of shrimp fried rice I had leftover from the Chinese restaurant and poured that into the Wok. Stir fried a bit more and added a touch of garlic powder to the mix, then poured in the teriyaki sauce. Voila! Dinner was done. It was delicious.

Me too. I really do love stir fry. Do you guys eat a lot of stir fry in Israel?

@Hannihar Just don't like it, or not very popular there?

@porwest I like crab, lobster, scallops and sometimes clam strips...but I can't get past the texture of shrimp.

@LindaOHio Really? Hmm. That's interesting. I guess I kind of find the texture of shrimp to be similar to crab and lobster. But I could be imagining things. I like shrimp fried, cooked and eaten hot, cooked and eaten cold...I pretty much like shrimp any way it can be eaten.

Stir fry is always good, you can add whatever you want and it is good.

Yeah. I agree. It's ALMOST one of those "you can't screw it up" kind of dishes.

It was. But I am probably biased toward my own cooking. Normally @NJChicaa is over in some corner puking after reading one of my food posts. I did not see her in here. Maybe she just wanted to save herself the puke session.

Sounds like a combo of fried rice and stir fry. I bet it was really delicious...I'll have to try your recipe sometime. Not weird at all.

It was very good and got to use up some leftovers. Always a plus in my book.
