Record breaking cold in Delhi!!

Saturday was slightly cold. Sunday a bit more.
Yet yesterday - Monday proved to be chilling.....
And when I checked the temperatures today, I was shocked to know that it was colder than what I had thought!
The maximum was 12.9 C, and the minimum was 10.2.
We had to go in layers of clothes and caps outside.
Remember that for a place having 40 C plus for many days in the summers, this much cold is very tough to bear.
And the image from the Hindustan Times E paper of today tells a lot!
Brrrrr......
For folks in Delhi or around, stay warm, have soup or tea and do not try to show that you can roam in just one layer of cloth in summer like clothes in such a weather!

I think on winters, power cuts are due to low voltage in the overall grid, though the situation is better than what it was many years ago!

I remember January and February of 2003 when many parts of North India were under cold wave for 20 to 25 days at a stretch!

Last year, we at Hyderabad experienced cold climate. Hyderabad is a city rather was a city where you needed sweater just for a a fortnight. Last year I shivered right through marrow of my bone, if I can say that. I wonder how the poor in Delhi are managing.

Yesterday I saw many folks on the road burning old and torn clothes, Cow dung etc for bonfire.
It is very tough for the folks on the roads.

Yes I heard it from my folks in Delhi. It's quite chill and this year it has come early. And the temperature might drop in coming days. Apparently Bangalore is also cold this year. I mean quite a winter for Bangalore
