Hoping for a Happy Christmas

While counting the days before Christmas, my family is praying that everything would be alright for us.
It is because of a death of our brother-in-law last week of November; and an elder brother who has a heart ailment is always in the hospital for weeks now; an elder sister who is also a stroke patient is in the hospital right now due to an infection. She had been bedridden for a year and could not move her left side of the body due to that fatal stroke last year.
We are praying that nothing sad would happen before Christmas so we can have our usual reunion on Christmas day.

It looks like your family is beset with misfortune recently. Let's hope and pray that your reunion would be a happy one. Ours is always on Christmas day at the home of my wife's eldest sister.

Yes, it had been a sad year for us; but we try to be positive and hope for a happy reunion with our siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins in my sister's home. We do it every year on Christmas Day.

@acelawrites my wife's mother is bed-ridden for 8 years already and sooner or later she might also succumbed to her disability. But we are trying to live with that expectation.

The sad thing about this Christmas was that my other brother still had feud problems with my aunts and since the arrival, they never once tried to pay a visit.
