Do you have any pork intestines?

I was out shopping today and overheard a woman asking at the meat asking at the meat counter "Do you have pork intestines?". This brought back memories of a delicious traditional food called black pudding I used to eat in my youth. It was never made in our home but it would be sold at street corners and we would also get it from family members who actually made it.
It was not until much later than I found out exactly how it was made. Black pudding was made from cow intestines stuffed with savory rice and cow's blood and other ingredients I suppose. I think we inherited it from the British and it became a part of the food culture. I must admit it was delicious but after learning how it was made I quickly lost my appetite for black pudding and never had it again.
Have you ever had black pudding or a similar type of food made with animal intestines and blood?

@Freelanzer It seems black pudding has pig's blood but white pudding doesn't. That is the main difference. They both have suet, oatmeal and flavourings.

Filipinos have a dish called " dinuguan" it's pork meat,
( there is a beef version) intestiness cooked in pig's blood and vinegar with different spices. Intestines are also boiled, marinated then barbequed, it's called "isaw" a popular street food. No I have not tried black pudding.

@Freelanzer it's one of those foods that you would usually find in Philippine fiestas where whole animals are slaughtered and we have a saying that nothing should go to waste. Tasty I think is very subjective, I like the dish but it would still depend on the cook and how it was prepared, there are also differences from one region to the other.

I mainly have a problem with the added blood to the black pudding. Just the thought makes me queasy.

I know what you mean. I've grown up since those days but the thought that I actually consumed it still lingers.
