I am serious, it was only a little exciting.
I went to a thrift shop this afternoon. It is run by volunteers. Some places you might call this a charity shop.
The volunteer got a phone call, and I could hear her talking then all the sudden she said "That man is walking out with merchandise!" and she hurried out the door saying, "Sir, sir, you can't take that from here!" Just a minute or so later this other woman still in the store said "He'll be back, he is just checking something"and tried to calm the volunteer down. She told the volunteer "those are empty Casey's cups" and they were. Casey's is a convenience store. He was looking for a trash can on the sidewalk for the empty cups.
I think the volunteer was just distracted and thought a theft was happening when it was an honest mistake.
They all visited for several minutes and shared a laugh and got acquainted. The volunteer shop keeper told me later that that gave her a good laugh. She said she had had good laughs all day.
I hope you had a good laugh or a little excitement today.

She just took it in stride, and laughed. So did they. I got a red sweater vest, love it cause it is long enough to go with leggings and it has pockets. I got a couple of other tops and a really cute Christmas ornament that was a birdhouse, with stars.

So far, I've gotten up, had a cup of tea and my meds, and the last two brandy beans. We'll see how exciting the day gets if I get dressed and go shopping.

Yes, then no one gets offended. She handed him the trashcan from under her counter. Nice to see people responsible for their own messes too.

Well, these days people do walk off with lots of things we watch they stop someone at BJ one day, my daughter and I. But I'm glad it was an honest mistake.

Yes, and I wonder why anyone would risk an arrest for a thrift shop item, but people are strange. This is a sleepy little church college town, but the volunteer was ready to chase him down. She said she is 83.

It was. No one was snooty and rude and that is always a plus.
