Of all the things to do in Branson, my husband chose this one on our one day outing. This is a conservation area at Table Rock Lake. They raise trout here but also have a nice walk through museum to walk though before you get outside to the hatchery bins. This attraction is totally free and the employees there are very knowledgeable and friendly. The lady inside was very capable of answering all of the questions I heard posed to her. The hatchery bins are numerous and you can view trout in every stage of life. I would estimate that there are over 100 bins of trout here. This hatchery raises both brown trout and rainbow trout here. The majority of the trout goes to stocking Lake Taneycomo and the rest goes to stocking other areas when it is needed. I'll post more on this hatchery soon and share more photos with you. If you are in the Branson, MO area this is a fun stop for all ages. Photo: My own

I've never even thought to go to a hatchery ..... not that there's one here, the Rio Grande no longer has that much water in it.

We didn't know about it on our trip here last year. One of my hubby's friends recommended it. They were visiting about two months ago and enjoyed it. Best of all it's free!

@rebelann Yes, and especially with my mom. We have had to leave a store 3 minutes after entering before. Lesson learned there.

Me too. LOL. I knew though he wouldn't go along with any shopping and my mom couldn't handle that either. Next trip I want to tackle Silver Dollar City!

Yep, he commented about the fishing gear they had in "antique" exhibit and I don't even remember seeing that. He joked with the desk clerk that he had a lot of that at home. He has most of his dad's fishing gear.
