Too Windy at the Beach

Hubs and I cut our walk short at the beach due to the strong breeze. However, that didn’t stop us from walking around our neighborhood. I snapped this photo to show you one of my many favorite things about living in Florida. You can’t go wrong with palm trees, warm sunshine

, and a beautiful blue sky, despite the breeze off the water. How are you spending your afternoon?

It does keep the heat down, but it was only 70 degrees F or 21C. That wind would only serve to worsen the bush fires.

My mom loves palm trees. When she went to Florida a few years ago she brought me back a kind of potted palm tree. Not the same as in the photo though. I just threw it out two days ago as I admitted defeat that it was not going to come back to life.

Lol! I’ve loved them since the day I first saw them when I was 12 years old. I’ve had to toss out various palm plants myself over the years.

I just told my grandson see you when you get back. Florida is a nice place to retire to. I picked Oregon because this is where my mother's family is from.

So he’s on his way! I’m sure he is so excited and happy! Living in Oregon makes sense, especially if you have family ties there. We chose Florida only because I have always loved it. Notice how I didn’t say we?

. However, he likes it a lot more than he used to like it.

Your picture is only missing one thing - Orville. I'm sorry the breeze cut your walk short. I spent my afternoon baking. The cinnamon applesauce raisin bread is in the oven and the no-bake pumpkin pie is chilling in the fridge.

Oh, Orville was around following us.

We still had a nice walk in our neighborhood, so it wasn’t as windy. Thanks. It sounds as if you have everything under control without any oopses.
