I can't actually think of a good title for this. This is actually the second attempt at a discussion tonight anyway. I was going to bore you with what I like and dislike about detective novels and why I prefer historical fiction detective novels. I won't do that. I just got done looking through the kindle best sellers list free and grabbed up a book from a series that I've been wanting to read, but not wanting to pay for. Patience pays off. I also saw lots of cozy mystery style books and since I know a few people here love that type (I won't tag anyone) I thought I'd mention that as well. I think it's time for me to consider watching some youtube videos and seeing what's going on in social media / with my friends. Hope you all had a good day! Are you looking forward to the weekend? Is there a show, movie or book you've been binging lately?

My suggestion for the title is... My Christmas day is an ordinary day.

@ScribbledAdNauseum if it wasn't ordinary at all then you should have written something not ordinary.

Good that you got the book that you wanted to read but not pay for it. I am planning to watch some episodes of a show on Amazon.

Yes, that is why I love looking at that list. I find books I want to read and do not have to pay.

I’ve been binge watching Blacklist for quite some time. After I finish I will watch the second season on “You” and then the second season of “The end of the f***ing world.”

I have heard of all of those, but I think I've only seen previews for blacklist. The most t.v. I watch (other than the news) is when I am with my friends as her husband loves watching the television.

@thislittlepennyearns Do you remember those reading tests we had to do after reading a book? There were certain books that were in the system, and we had to pick from one of them, read it and then do a test on the computer. I think that's what had me hating to read when I was very little, to be honest. When my niece was little and I would help her with her spelling, I would make up short litle sentences or stories to go with it. I didn't always help her with it, but I think it helped her get more confident with hers. She was around 6 years old at the time.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I hope to get her reading more. She does just about everyday but i want to get her more confident in her skills. Plus with the Kindle, I can have other learning apps for her as well.

Well maybe a nap will help you get some energy back. I wish I could do nothing, but after while I plan to do some rearranging of my room. Just turn on some music or listen to a book and get things done.

As you wanted to discuss about books you could have add the tile "What books I like and why". Yesterday went well, today we are recovering, tomorrow we celebrate our wedding anniversary.

I had considered that, but I find that I get a lot of responses from people saying "I do not read."

@LadyDuck Yes, and those type used to frustrate me a lot. Now, I just let it slide. This is one reason why I also put my questions in bold font sometimes. Something to catch their eye, and maybe they'll answer those too.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I do not have a weekend here in Israel and also it is still Hannuka for us. We have our Jewish Sabbath which starts on Friday and ends on Saturday night and then Hannuka is over Monday night.

@ScribbledAdNauseum On our Sabbath there is no work. I go off the computer on Fridays at a certain time and light candles to bring in our Sabbath. On Saturday we do not work at all. We use a hot plate to plug in the wall for our meals. Hannuka are regular days so we can work and do errands if we want. We have holidays where we can do things and holidays where we cannot do any work at all. Our Sabbath is a rest day.
