Smart Charlie.

Charlie is our pet bunny. Last Christmas I asked a friend to look after him at our house. He will come to the garage where Charlie is to feed and give him water. I noticed when we got home that for a day his water level in his drinking bottle was the same. Also I saw him eating my Aloe Vera plant every time I let him out. That night I checked on his drinking bottle and found out that the ball was stuck on the tube where the water should flow. I let Charlie know that his water bottle was already fixed. He was so thirsty, maybe that is the reason also why I saw him licking the water from the water hose and even the water tubing outlet of my washing machine. Poor Charlie. The day after his water bottle was fixed, I let him out but he did not go to my aloe vera plant. Charlie is smart surviving the days without water by eating my aloe vera plant.

I try to leave extra water even if someone is caring for my pets. Charlie was good and followed his instincts to survive.

Yeah, I remember that bunny you had picked up in your village. It's good that until now Charlie is still there.

Poor Charlie! I don't think I would ask that person again to watch him.

Charlie looks so cute! I am glad he was able to survive - and I am glad you were able to figure out what's going on with him. I have a soft spot for bunnies because they are my first pets. When they grew too big in our cramped apartment in Manila, we had to give them up to be taken cared of at my grandparents' farm.

Seph, my nephew's rabbit is grown up now. I cannot actually hold him because I am afraid of him. I do not know yet when Charlie grows bigger

What a clever rabbit. It must have been awful for him to run out of water. It's good there was an aloe vera plant for him to eat.
