She Complains About Her Job Almost Daily

One of my Facebook friends frequently posts about how much she dreads her job. She makes personal statements and shares memes too. This has been going on for many months. Okay, I understand that we are all human and have bad days. I complain about various issues too sometimes. But I am getting frustrated with my friend! I just want to say "Alright, we all know that you hate your job!! But have you even tried to get another one? What are you doing to make your situation better? It reminds me of a cleaning job I had when I was in college. My work partner complained from the time we clocked in until we clocked out. I started dreading my job, not because of the work itself, but because I was stuck with a whiner for four hours every week night! Do you know someone who complains constantly? Do you tend to be negative a lot? Please share your thoughts.

i hear that some can lose their jobs due to such via social media?? i do my best to be positive, such doesn't 'lways work out that way. can relate to others whinin' makin' yer tasks unpleasant. my last "real" job i renamed those i worked with's the 'snake pit'. lots 'f ugliness 'mong that lot. why don't jest ask her such? if'n 'tis schtuff she's no control o'er with management, then she needs to seek 'mployment elsewhere. then 'gain, some folks seem to thrive off the whinin', particularly when there's so many who'll dish out sympathy...

@crazyhorseladycx I do not ever put anything out there that I would not want to share with employers, etc. Not even on here for just that reason. I also do not test stuff.

One time I asked her if she was worried that her boss would see her negative posts. She said she purposely declined her boss's friend request for that reason. I think I will just ask her why she doesn't look for another job @crazyhorseladycx. Thank you. You always have good insight about all kinds of subjects.

I agree with you. Many people think my job is easy so I tell them, change your job and go into my sector.

Thank you @mrki444. I agree. People shouldn't make assumptions about things they have never done.

From what I understand it use to be people complain when they do not have a job. If only people think of their jobs as a blessing, i could understand we all get burnouts at times from what we do but personally I would rather keep it all to myself, not make a big fuzz with a lot of people who are unemployed living in a poor country like me

Yep. I always want to ask "What are you going to do about it?" (Usually, I just listen in silence and let them vent.) But I think some people just like to whine.

Yes, I agree @TheHorse. This woman is not my best buddy, but I feel fairly comfortable with her. I think I will message her or ask in person, if she has considered finding a new job.

I don't believe I am negative and I always try to see the good side of things. A person who complains all the time would drive me nuts.

Thanks @JudyEv. You and I are alike then. I'm glad I don't work with her.

@MALUSE Some people bring out the worst in us, don't they? I would have been doing the same as you.

Some people seem to do this hoping someone else will fix it for them. They take the non-direct method of coping. I have been so fed up with my job at times that I have either quit outright, or found another job, or did a lot of praying which also helps. Sometimes there are ways either to change the job, or your perspective on the job to make it doable. I am sure we would all prefer to sit at home and do our hobbies instead of work but it just does not pay the bills.
