I actually overslept!

I am one of these people who never needs an alarm as my body clock will wake me but I can't believe I actually overslept by 30 minutes this morning. I think it's going to be one of those days as I rushed downstairs to find that the dog had left me a "present" on the kitchen floor so I had to clean that up before anything else making me even later. On the good side my eye is better this morning, still a little red but no discomfort and the swelling has subsided making me look more human. Happy Thursday everyone, may your day start off better than mine did!

It is not really nice when the first thing you find in the morning it's a present from your dog. I am glad your eyes is better now. I am checking the discussions I missed today.

No it was horrible and put me in a bad mood! How many notifications do you get in a day? Is it hundreds?

@LadyDuck Wow, I don't get anything like that! I would be exhausted if I had to do that many but at least it means you earn a nice amount.

@sprite1950 I usually gind from 120 to 150 when I start in the morning, then I have notifications that come during all the day long. I am sure that I clear at least 200 every day.

It’s rare that I oversleep. I am always so worried about oversleeping that my body actually wakes itself up early to compensate. Even on days off and weekends I still wake up early! Glad to hear your eye is doing better!

Same as me. I think the early waking started when I had early work shifts or maybe after I had children. I was so surprised that I had overslept. It really cut into my MyLotting time! Yes it's feeling much better today although still a bit red.

@sprite1950 For me it started after we had kids. The wifey and I would take turns getting up with the babies to feed them. It was then that I developed a very light sleeping habit (I can hear a pin drop and it wakes me up), and also waking up naturally very early in the morning. It doesn't matter how little sleep I get, I still wake up early.

@moffittjc Exactly like me. I think we listen out for our children so the slightest little noise wakes us. Remember those vomiting noises that got you out of bed faster than the speed of light?! That's why I was surprised I overslept because I wake early regardless of what time I go to bed.

I got some aloe vera gel to put on the lid and it looks so much better today. I have to go out so I won't feel so much like a freak!

I use my body alarm too, or Lily (my cat) wakes me up.

I would hate coming down to a dog mess. But these things happen.

Yes and I was late as it was. My language turned the air blue! Unfortunately she is very old now and can't always hold it like she could.

I don't like being late in the morning. I have to get my granddaughter off to school. Thankfully I was still in time to get her up as she starts moving later than me but I could have done without the dog poo on the floor!
