It's good that the leak is not under concrete. Did you turn it off from the meter?

that's what happened in our case, @louievill. you can hear it when you bend over the sink and listen from the drain.

@hereandthere the problem with that is your meter might be running, what you should do is turn off all the faucets and observe if the meter still runs then there is a leak that you do not see.

you're lucky it's visible. ours was under the outside sink. a pipe broke so the water was flowing and we had a huge water bill.

@rakski it was so big i had to ask help from my siblings to pay it. even the plumber had a hard time reaching it.

Good thing you discovered the leak. It could have been so much worse, it could have been a leak somewhere where you couldn't see it, like in the walls or under the concrete floor. Although dealing with a leak is never fun, at least you know where this one is. Hope you get it fixed quickly!

@rakski Is it hard to get somebody out to fix something on a weekend? Do they charge more money for making the repairs on a weekend instead of during the weekdays? Here in the US, the cost would be much higher on the weekend than it would be during the week.

Plumbers in the U.S. charge a lot for repairing leaks. Hope yours was not to bad.
