Jaime Willis who is a U S Army Desert Storm veteran is one person who started a charity called Canes for Veterans Central Texas in 2016.
Willis along with the team members of his charity ask the community Copperas Cove Texas to donate recycled Christmas trees to his place of business so that the trees get the limbs cut off, let the trees dry and then strip the bark by attaching handles to them by using polyurethane and then ship them off to a veteran who needs a cane that is donated to them gratis as his way of thanking them for their service in the military.
This past year, the community have donated over 1,000 trees to Jaime's place of business so he will have along with his team members a lot of canes to ship to anyone around the world this year.
It is a nice gesture of his part to use recycled trees to turn them into walking canes for his fellow military veterans.

Jaime is one veteran who wants to assist others instead of playing the "Woe is me" card.
