Don’t Come to South Florida Whatever You Do!

Now is not the time to come to South Florida. We are getting some of that much colder air from up north.
Today will reach a high of 71F or 21.7C and a low of 60F or 15.6C.
Tuesday will reach a high of 70F or 21.1C and a low of 42F or 5.6C!!!
Wednesday will reach a high 66F or 18.9 C and a low of 64F or 17.8C with clouds building.
As it warms up later in the week we will have rain.
I just hunted down a couple of cute sweaters and a pretty lined silk jacket which should keep me toasty during the days. We do love sleeping under our lightweight down comforter with the sliders to our lanai opened. The sound of the waves lull me to sleep.
So if you plan on hitting the beach or hanging around the pool to work on a tan, I suggest you go elsewhere.
Tonight I have a board meeting. It’s going to be a heated one and jam packed, so I have to find something light to wear. Off I go to my closet again!

It's amazing how we can be in the same state and have such vastly different weather! We'll be in the very low 30s tonight, and then tomorrow night we'll drop into the mid to upper 20s!

@DianneN It is better this time of year. would be tough to be there. except if you get to sit in by a fireplace would be the ultimate joy and peace while you lounge there reading a good book,

@bunnybon7 Unfortunately, we don’t have a fireplace in Florida. We haven’t had to turn the heat on, yet. If that happens, we will definitely go looking for a cute electric fireplace.

@DianneN I think the forecasting stuff is just educated guessing - they don't really have it down to a science - yah we roll our eyes at them all the time. Our sun just went in hiding again. I can deal with some chilliness . . . but snow and ice, oh no no no.

Lol! Our sun popped out this morning and it’s 75 out. My husband wants to put the a/c back on, but it’s dry and pleasant. The forecasters are such liars! However, I’m sure it will get much cooler here. I do find it pleasant. Let’s be thankful we don’t have snow and ice to deal with and have no problem feeling hot or cold.

I’m not really complaining. It’s a nice change which seems to happen every January and February. I’m ready for it, since I found some sweaters and a jacket I shipped down.
Converting those temps to Celsius was a bit more tricky for me. Do you use decimals or just found it up or down?

Oh Puhleeze--in tomorrows TV news and in the local papers there will be a fat Canadian in a Speedo on the beach saying how much warmer it is here---not picking on the Canadians or fat people (though that Speedo has to go!) but that is the one the reporters pick on!
If it was 66 degrees in Connecticut they would be wearing shorts!!
