So Yesterday evening the Blackhawks played and won another game they are on a 5 game winning streak. They have been playing pretty well as of late and hopefully they can keep this going.
Last night was pretty special. One of their players, Patrick Kane, hit a mile stone. He made his 1,000 career point. He is the youngest American born player in NHL history to do it. It only took him 953 games to do it. He is only the 90th player in NHL history to reach this mile stone.
I'm sure we will see him in the Hockey Hall of Fame someday. Here are some of the awards he has received in his career.
2015-16 season - Art Ross Trophy - Player who lead the league in points at the end of the regular season.
2015-16 season - Ted Lindsay Award - Most outstanding player in the regular season as judged by the members of the NHL Players' Association.
2015-16 season - Hart Memorial Trophy - "Player judged most valuable to his team" in the National Hockey League.
2012-13 season - Conn Smythe Trophy - Awarded annually to the most valuable player during the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup playoffs.
2007-08 season - Calder Memorial Trophy - Annual award given "to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League."
Kane was the first American born player to win the Art Ross Trophy. He holds a second place record for point streaks, he had 26 straight games with at least one point. Second only to a 30 point streak by Mats Sundin of the Quebec Nordiques.
Congrats Kane on 1,000 points. Hope we see many more before you call it quits.

@Bensen32 They have become quite a successful franchise. I always root for any of the original six hockey teams to make the playoffs: Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
I was a big Bruins fan in my younger years.
