Its Wednesday morning and I am not wanting to be at work today. Last night the Blackhawks played the Panthers and their head coach Coach Q use to coach the Blackhawks so it was a big night. The night was even bigger due to the fact that both teams were on a 5 game winning streak. The game is also the last game before the week long break due to the All-star Game this weekend. It will actually be 11 days before the Blackhawks play again. This and the fact that the team was going to do a little ceremony before the game for Kane becoming the 90th player in NHL history to earn 1,000 points in his career. The Blackhawks also did a little 60 second video tribute to Coach Q towards the beginning of the game and the crowd responded with a standing ovation that lasted at least 60 seconds itself. Last nights game was great the ceremony for Kane, the video for Coach Q, the hard fought game that was so close. The downside to it was the Blackhawks ended up losing 4-3.
