Several times I have bought sweet potatoes, ever since I saw a beautiful sweet potato plant that a friend grew in her room.
I bought the sweet potatoes and forgot about them. After some time, I found them anywhere, ready for the garbage can.
Last week, again, I ought a couple. They are not cheap here so I decided I´d check an easy way to make online. There was a recipe where you baked it with sugar and cinnamon. It was so easy that I decided to try it.
I was making a escalivada anyway, so I wrapped a sweet potato cut in half in aluminum foil. I first put it a few minutes in the microwave oven (my idea) and later on added a bit of butter for juiciness (my idea too).
I am now mylotting. I´ll tell you in about an hour how it all came out. I will also get ready for bed. Even my summer T shirts are too warm for this weather. After that, I´ll check on my notifications. Today I have had a slow day here. See you.

I put the sweet potato with nothing on it in the microwave. Then I placed it in the electric oven in an aluminum foil with butter, sugar and cinnamon. There it stayed for the time I had the escalivada (around 1 hour).

@LadyDuck I liked it, but prefer other dishes. But I know from the first day that you don´t put metal in a microwave oven. I read instructions.

@marguicha Oh good, I thought to understand that you wrapped it in foil and placed in the microwave. The day my niece did, the microwave burnt. Was the sweet potato good? I cannot say that I really like it.

The sweet potato sounds good to me. I hope it comes out right. I wish it was warmer here. Today was another very cool day.

@RasmaSandra I remember the first time we visited Florida with my husband. We had friends in Miami and it was warm in January. But then we rented a car to go to Orlando and we got colder as we went north.

Sweet potatoes are common food here. Usually I like the baked sweet potatoes. It is quite simple. Just wash it and then bake it. When it is one, its skin will be shrinked. And if the sweet potatoes are very good ones, then you may even see a little juice like honey at the end of the sweet potatoes.
