I am really liking it......

Today also I had an early work shift from 10 to 12:30 in the morning. Seems like this will be my schedule till the end of this March. And I am really happy about it. In fact I am finding this a better option than my noon shift and might ask the school to give me this shift in coming academic year. This change has been made because it's last term of the academic year and lots of events like preparation tests, board exams and also exams for other children will take place in these two months. After school sports events and selection for teams for coming academic year will also take place. Children who need special revision for their board exams will get that from teachers during afternoon. Now keeping all these in consideration, there has been changes in school bus timings. They have fixed number of buses and they will ply in different times. While the morning pick up time will remain same, in afternoon buses will ply in two slots ...one at 1 PM for all children and one at 4 PM to pick up teachers and students who will stay extra time for revision or sports. My two children have to leave by 1 PM bus and so I have to take their sessions before that. Moreover, other children in class are writing tests and these children can not take tests like regular children. I have to make special test papers to evaluate them. I am liking it as I can drop my daughter to school and go straight to my school. I am back home for hot lunch and I get two and half hours of gap before I get to pick up my daughter. I can do other stuff like mylotting in that time Now my maid comes at 7:30 in morning and does some work. She comes later in afternoon at 12:30 and finishes rest of the chore. Even she seems to be happy with this new schedule. Now I will be here checking new discussions and knocking out notifications for another one and half hours. Hope everyone is doing good.

I am into this part time schedule from last two years. Before that I was a full time teacher. This part time suits my family life and my health. It was my health that madee switch to short working hours.

No she doesn't. She needs three hours to finish all that she has to do. She works in couple of more houses in the neighborhood.

What is making you be absent? You must be having some leave rules at your work.

@yoalldudes I see. It's good that your boss understands your situation and makes adjustment. As long as you deliver on time, it should be okay. You can continue doing it. Sitting down idle does not help in anyway. What kind of job you do??

@arunima25 My chronic illnesses. I told my boss I want to resign. She rather keep me despite my absences. I deliver my work well and on time. I do them at home when I feel so weak and in pain to go to work. At home I can lie on the bed when I feel bad. I am okay with resigning if ever they give me a warning regarding my leave of absences.
