Rainy Day Monday Sets Tune for the Week

Yep, it's raining again! It started right after midnight and rained for a good portion of the early morning. It stopped around 9 am and I managed to get the animals all fed outside. I'm sitting now and enjoying a cup of hot coffee.
I need to figure out breakfast since my mom just got up. This will officially be brunch with a light lunch mid-afternoon. I think I may whip up some blueberry pancakes or waffles.
The rain is due back around 2:30 pm so I will have a chance to go back out and collect eggs and be dry. I hope this holds true as the sky is overcast today.
One good thing about this front is the warm temperatures. It's currently 68 degrees with a high today expected at 73. I like it! But I still want some sunshine!

We haven't gotten the rain you've been getting, but we sure have gotten the hot temperatures! We went from the low 30s on Saturday morning to the upper 80s today. I hate these wild temperature swings!

@kareng So far it's been warm and cloudy all week. Super dense fog in the mornings. But not much in the way of rain so far. I think our rain chances increase later in the week, and then it gets cold again for the weekend.

@infatuatedbby We get too much!! Wouldn't be bad if just showers and enough to water yard, flowers but we get so much the ground stays squishy, muddy and puddles standing. Glad you have nice weather!

The rain started here about 10:30 last night and hasn’t really let up. It goes from sprinkling to pouring buckets and some thunder.

It was 40ish this morning; and the temps will be dropping all day. Friday will be one of our really cold winter days. Temps in the teens and lake effect s**w.

That's no good, @LindaOhio I'm just hoping that we don't have as much rain as they are saying. We have two doctor appointments in Baton Rouge tomorrow and thunderstorms in forecast.

@LindaOHio It is actually an enjoyable ride through the hills and countryside. It takes an hour to cross Baton Rouge with annoying traffic so I don't mind. They are saying the worst weather will be Wednesday afternoon. That is the appointment I cancelled because dr's office did not call in orders for the CT scan. We finally got a call from them and we are doing that after the dr. apt. tomorrow with primary doctor. Then we will reschedule with this other dr's office.
