Our blossoms are here!

As I've mentioned before, California's seasons are goofy. Our hills are often a beautiful Ireland green in January, while most Americans are dealing with snow and ice. Our hills are a desolate brown by April, when most Americans are finally feeling the warmth of Spring.
In Washington DC, there are beautiful blossoms. But I'm not sure when they come out--probably in April. Here, they are already present. I'm not sure what kind of trees these are. They do not yield fruit (that I know of). But they yield lovely blossoms that last for only a few days.
February in Northern California. Welcome to my world.

Thank you for sharing the views of the blossoms in Northern California. The trees in my neighborhood are still bare from the cold weather.

@TheHorse The Spring in the South does come a little bit earlier since South Louisiana is near the Gulf Of Mexico.

One we have in CA are our magnificent redwoods and sequoias compared to the puny trees back east.

When I lived in Vancouver, we'd often get cherry trees blooming in January... not sure if that happens anymore what with the recent tendency for it to snow there now.
