I'm curious if can opener has still has place in our kitchen, especially now that most of the canned products available come in an easy-to-open form and it's like every manufacturing companies seems to follow. Do you think its future is close to becoming obsolete? Photo credit: pixabay.com

I still have one of those but you might be right more and more of the canned goods have the easy open tops now. I'm sure it will eventually be obsolete like many other things in life.

That's my thought as well. Like many other things that no longer in use or useful.

@ZedSmart Yep as we come up with better things those older things just get left behind. What happened to all the typewriters we use to have?

I still seem to find plenty of use for my can opener, although I use an electric one.

Not yet. Only about a third of any of the canned goods I buy have an easy open lid. I still use my can opener very often.

Helpful indeed coz it's difficult to use knife since you might get hurt. Now, I looked and buy only easy-to-open canned products. If those are don't I won't unless no other available.

I can't afford those more advance can openers. we bought one few months ago but it broke later. Those canned openers shouldn't phase out.
