Care For Yourself

I love this saying. I believe that all of us need to realize our own worth and take care of our selves.
Lately I have been not quite up to par health wise and have had a lot of time to think. There are so many ways that many of us tend to care for what is going on with others rather than what is happening to ourselves.
There needs to be a balance between the two. Hopefully I will find my balance.

I was told by someone when I was taking care of mom that if I didn't take care of myself who would help mom. From then on I made it a point to do everything I could to keep myself healthy so that I could properly care for mom. Once mom passed I also decided I needed to be healthy to make sure my kritters got good care.

You are so right. I have realized that quite late in recent years after my own health took toll of all the things I did for others and family ignoring my own self.
