Coffee after exercise on an empty stomach gives me acidity. So I made my coffee wait. Instead I took quick shower and got ready. Now I am having my coffee with my hot yummy breakfast. It's veggies upma for breakfast. I have packed oranges for my morning snacks. Orange season is almost coming to end. We hardly find them anymore since February began. So I was excited to see a vendor selling it outside my daughters music class yesterday and I bought some I have another 20 minutes to start and till then I will read some discussions here

It's good you found some oranges. We seem to get most fruits year-round here but I'm sure some would be imported.

@arunima25 We buy fresh produce when possible too. I don't like the apples from cold storage. They're not usually very nice. Certainly not as nice as when fresh.

@JudyEv Sometimes they are injected with preservatives to make them stay fresh for long. Once I got one such apple which fell in the space between fridge and wall. When I moved the fridge for my once in a month deep cleaning, it was still there fresh. The ones that I buy seasonal start rotting in a day or two if not finished.

We too get all fruits year around but most of them are imported and are from cold storage. For health reasons and to support local farmers, I buy more of seasonal locally grown fruits. The city of Nagpur here is famous for its oranges. And I bet they are very juicy and delicious. We get it in abundance from mid of December to mid of February.

You are right, orange season is coming to end, but we find them during all the year now.

@arunima25 Oranges do not grow in Switzerland, we only have imported oranges, I buy those coming from Italy and Spain.

Even we get the imported ones from cold storage through out the year. But our local grown Nagpur oranges last only for two months. I prefer to buy seasonal fruits.

I too have my tea with something, preferably biscuits. Else I get acidity. And your regular fruit snacking idea is a great one. I am a bit low on fruit intake these days and need to improve on that.

When I drink tea early at 6 to give company to my husband I take it with biscuits. Later I do exercise and have my breakfast around 8:30. You can include fruits, nuts, juice and buttermilk etc fir mid morning and evening snacks

I have also skipped the morning tea now. I take a full cup of tea along with the breakfast. That keeps by body out of acidity.

Caffeine makes my stomach hurt also, so decaf is the next best option for me. It's good that you didn't drink your coffee on an empty stomach.

I try to avoid any beverage on empty stomach. I get acidity. I try to take it with something or at least some biscuits or toast.

@besweet Better to do that. Acidity is annoying.
