Someone here in the Bay Area sent me a Fisher amplifier cabinet for restoration. I usually prefer it when "customers" bring stuff to me and pick it up in person.
But he said he would pay me handsomely and be thankful if I repaired the cabinet and sent it back to him.
I told him I would charge him $60 for the restoration and whatever it cost to send the cabinet back to him.
He sent me a check for $150 along with the cabinet. My hunch is that this guy is "doing well" and wants to "do the right thing" as far as compensating me for my efforts.
I did some sanding and clamping tonight, and could have this cabinet ready within a few days.
Of course, I'll send an "after" photo along.

@amitkokiladitya Bet there's irony too. I like to believe in "karma." But sometimes it's when I've done my best work that I've been "oppressed." Jealousy? I don't know.

@andriaperry Heh. When I was in Graduate school in Santa Barbara, I wrote these lyrics. I didn't do anything with them, but they still make me chuckle.
