In my local supermarket the other day helping my better half with the groceries I made a startling discovery. That wonderful brew known as 'tea' (in my opinion much preferable to coffee) can now be bought in a multitude of flavours! Mint, strawberry, apple, blueberry, chocolate (yuk!), cranberry, ginger, lemon and many more. This is not something I approve of. Personally, I don't like the sound of any of them (especially the chocolate one!). I prefer good, old-fashioned tea which tastes like tea - not a bowl of fruit!

I can understand you. I like the real English kind of tea with fresh milk and sugar in it. I drink it often times in a day. I drink ginger tea but self brewed from ginger root when I have colds.

Milk yes, but not sugar - that just spoils the taste!

Mom always made us mint tea with the leaves she'd harvest from her plants, I liked it but I don't drink tea anymore .... or coffee.

If you ever grow peppermint or mint you can make your own @ScotMac just put the leaves into hot water and it'll create a tea. But be advised that peppermint or mint is also a diuretic so it would be unwise to drink too much of it.

I have never tried mint tea. Of all the flavoured teas mint tea sounds like the one I might actually like

Eric Bogle (Scotsman turned Australian) has a song about flavoured teas and says he doesn't know whether to drink it or to 'dab it on'.

@ScotMac He has written some wonderful folk songs including 'And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda'. I can't remember the name of the 'tea' one. It's probably not one he'd boast about.

I drink some herbal teas in flavors. You prefer the standard tea, which is fine.
