IHop National Pancake Day 1919 - Oregon is the first US state to render a gasoline tax. A $.01 per gallon tax was initiated that day. 1928 - The first broadcast license for television was issued from the Federal Radio Commission. 1943 - George Harrison was born. He was an English musician, singer, songwriter and music and film producer. He is best known for being the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Some of the songs he wrote: Taxman, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the Sun. He went on to have a solo career after the Beatles broke up. He passed away in 2001. 1966 - Tea Leoni was born. She is an American actress and producer. Her breakthrough role came with the release of Bad Boys in 1995. Some of her other movies: Deep Impact, The Family Man, Jurassic Park III, Spanglish and Fun With Dick and Jane. In 2014 she starred in the TV series Madam Secretary. Photo Credit: Pixabay
