Some people are very passionate about giving tips and advice on all subjects within their knowledge. They become very excited when someone asks for their opinion. My best friend is like that, she will invest a lot of time and truly provide the best information in her powers and she is very effective. Are you the person everyone calls to get your opinion and advice? Are you open to receiving tips and information from others?

It's nice that your friend is so kind about sharing her knowledge. I would do my best to help someone but only if they asked for my advice or help.

She is doing it when someone asks and offers to help, but I can see how enjoyable it is for her to offer help. Even if it's simple opinion about a restaurant that she went or more important matters.

@JudyEv Yes she does it with passion. I told her she should turn it in a profession.

Not really. But I am a person who people call to when they need a hand. Sometimes, when they need money hahaha.

It's good when people call you and you can offer your help! For money I am not so sure it's good.

I also like to share my knowledge and I try my best to explain the things as much as I can. I guess the fact that I am a tourist guide has made me like this.

@besweet it has changed the way I am. I was a shy person and now I am very communicative. Sometimes, even too communicative.

As a tourist guide you need to provide the best information to your group. I undestand how this can extend to our personal.life also.

@besweet Very true. Why give unpaid advice and get in trouble. I will rather advise on paid basis on my subject.

@msdivkar That's the next step for the paid advice. I told my friend that she should do it professionally and get the benefits.

I have someone very close to me who sounds like you. Always looking at his own business and doesn't ask or give advice. Sometimes when you give advice you can even get in trouble without expecting it, I think that' what he is trying to avoid. Is it like that or it's just different point of view?

I just advise if someone wants to have it. But I'm not going to pretend to be an all-knowing person.

When giving advice and tips to someone can be helpful for them then it's a very kind gesture to try and help.

@Shavkat That's true, it depends on the person.

@besweet I agree. However, it depends if a person would listen or not.

I am open to receiving advice and tips but not through Facebook messenger. Some people have the temerity to send such advice and warning without my solicitation so I am annoyed.

That's very strange to send unwanted advice through messanger. Are they trying to sell something?

@besweet the messages are usually fake news that they couldn't post on their timeline. One is the bombing of malls... sent by my cousin last December. I blocked him.

@Alexandoy I never had experience like that. Only sometimes I am added in group discussions by someone but I leave as soon as I get the message without reading because I assume it's a virus.

I am very open to any help, especially if I am not knowledgeable regarding a topic. Not many ask my thoughts no.

I enjoy doing both too. When someone wants to give advice without being asked I will listen carefully also, especially if it's work related and I trust them.

It is awesome that you have such a friend! It’s a two way street with close friends. I’ve given advice to many when asked. Some advice was accepted and some not. My best friend and I trade information and tips all the time. I do appreciate receiving tips and information from others.

We have been friends since the first year of college, we are lucky to have each other. We live far away from each other now. It's great that you exchange tips with your friend, sometimes our best friends can give the best advice because they know us so well.

@besweet Too bad you and your friend don’t live closer. I’m far away from my best friend, but she’s coming to Florida this month, so we will definitely get together. We are very similar in tastes, so we share tips about everything!

I am open to receiving tips and information from others but I just wait if someone ask my opinion as it might not be welcome to others. It depends anyway who ask me.

It depends on the person I agree. Also it depends if the advice comes from someone we trust, I find that people who knows us very well give the best advice because they take under consideration our character and our needs.
