Happy Leap Day everyone on this Saturday!
A Leap Day, February 29, is added to the calendar during leap years.
This extra day, also called Leap Year Day, makes the year 366 days long, not 365 days, like a regular year.
We got an extra day this month. Any plans what to do today? We have lots of sunshine.
After I catch up here and finish laundry I plan to get out and soak up some rays.

I road-tripped to NC this weekend so my girlfriend could see snow for the first time. More driving than anything else, but it's been pretty fun so far.

Only thing I did today was wash my dog, needed a bath and a nice day for it.

Nope. Just a regular day for me. I do like the interesting little bit of trivia about the day. It appears that the leap day was from the fact that the actual full rotation around the sun was 365.25 days, and if we did not have a leap year our calendar would be way screwed, and at some point it would be sunlight at 4 in the morning and night time at the wrong time. The leap year is supposed to correct for our 365 day calendar and set our times right.

Happy Leap Day to you too! I just watched an interesting report that explained why we even have leap years. It even made the connection to the Gregorian Calendar. Thanks to that report I see Leap Year in an entirely new light.

I wish we could celebrate our leap year daughter's birthday with her, but she's traveling.

My daughter and I went to Aldi and got a few things. It was a nice ride and it was so good to get out of the house for awhile. We have sunshine but it's pretty darn cold

No plans here. I may look for some accommodations for our trip later.
