For the past days I was tempted to think that I should just focus on money making. I fill my hearts and thoughts with this and I plan to give up my living holy for God. But God help me to think right.
Money making will just stress me and depress me. What gives sense to my life is living it with holiness. Being spiritual, prayerful and other spiritual activities make us holy. Life is not just enjoying and being happy all the time. Life is not just satisfying our pleasure. Life have sense if we focus on holy living.
We should be spiritual and holy lifestyle and we will have peace and joy in this life

Holy living can satisfy the soul bring peace and joy. That's why there are nuns and priest and other servants of God who find satisfaction in holy living. But most people does not like it and prefer to satisfy their earthly desires only

Sometimes, I cannot understand Churchgoers.
They will come out from the Church, and start making idle chatter, about their latest venture, the weather, football, etc. etc.
I would think that it would be better to discuss the eulogy, just given by the priest.
Holy living also involves us talking and discussing holy ways too, I think.
The priest, last week, discussed about the temptations of Jesus Christ by Satan.
He said this was not literal, but more meant that Jesus was struggling with his coming ministry in his own mind.
He was deciding whether he should follow his Father's plan for his life, which lead to crucifixion on the cross, or whether instead, he should become a ruler of the World instead, as the Devil told him to be.
It was all just a turmoil going on in Jesus's own mind this newly ordained Priest told us, telling us the latest thinking, from his just finished college course.
I would have like to have discussed this further.

I believe that is not what on His mind. He is already God to decide whether not to pay for people's (our) sins. He was tempted by satan after His fasting. This showed that devil can tempt anyone who is holy. Satan is a deceiver.

@jobelbojel I agree with you.
It's just some of the newer priests do not seem to believe much in the miracles of Jesus, explaining them away, especially the evil spirit possessions of people.
They will say, it was probably epilepsy, or schizophrenia, not spirit possession.

Exactly. Our true identity is not the money making sites, being satisfied with worldly things but our true identity is in Christ Jesus.

Satisfying just my earthly desires like money, entertainment does not give me lasting joy and peace. I realize it is through holy living, prayer life, devotion, worship and good works

It's true. It's important. I enjoy spiritual things but I still enjoy secular things
