Rock Painting Today

It was a good morning at rock painting today. I got three rocks finished, but only brought home two, the Kindness rock and the lighthouse. I'm now finished with the Fruit of the Spirit rocks. I have one more fun one I did when I finished those two in the picture above with another rock from last week's rock painting.
So, if you wondered where I was, that's where I was this morning. It's Thursday and it's rock painting day.
My friend was there. She still sounds horrible. She's going back home to be. The woman I wanted to give my manuscript to wasn't there. Instead, she went to Urgent Care. She has a couple of infections going on. She hopes to be back next week.
My friend also took my picture this morning to show the difference between my last picture and today now that I'm down 50 pounds. I'll have that comparison in the next post.
It was a good group this morning and we had a class of third and fourth graders come in and look at our rocks and what we're painting. There was a class last week too.
I didn't stay for lunch which is good on top of the fact they had chicken for lunch, so it was easy to come home and have another serving of stew.
Okay, what have you been doing today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

@just4him Oh that's neat! I'd definitely let them know! I guess we should make a Facebook or Instagram page if we ever do painted rocks, so people can let us know we found them. That's so cool! I imagine it really makes someone's day.

I hope you find one. If you do, there's usually a sticker on the back so you can put your find on an FB page. I can tell you when rocks are found and placed on the page, the smiles abound for those who painted that rock. One of our member's rocks was recently found in Arizona.

I haven't painted rocks in a while. Messed up the last two I tried, and it kind of turned me off the project.

@just4him Yes--the problem was more to do with trying to put on the sealant. I guess I put too much, as it ran to the bottom and made it stick, which wrecked the design when I tried to pick the rock up. I almost always have some trouble with the sealant. :(

@xstitcher I'm sorry the sealant is the trouble.

You can always paint over your mistakes. I've done that many times.

@just4him - I suppose lots of people do this type of art. But you're the second person I have come across that displayed their own artwork. The first person I met use to publish pages on Squidoo. But that site was acquired by HUBPages and I don't know what happened to this person. She painted flowers on the rocks. The art was incredible!

@cmoneyspinner I'm sure it was. I admire people who can paint well on rocks.

Your rocks look great!
So sorry to hear about your friends.
I hope the kids enjoyed the rocks.
That’s right! I just remembered that you are allergic to chicken.
I went to yoga, emptied the dishwasher which I started before yoga, paid bills, did laundry, changed the bedding, tried on pants that hubs bought for me, and am trying to work on notifications. Sigh......

Yes, I am. My stew was nice and warm when I got home. Thank you. Yes, they enjoyed seeing what everyone was doing. One girl asked me which rocks I did and I pointed those out and told her what I was working on. You'll see that finished rock next week. It only needed to be podged. It's finished.
Thank you. I hope both of them feel better soon.
You had a very busy morning.

I was sending the package through DHL to my friend today. Then I went to buy hanging pots for my flowers in the balcony.
Do you use acryl color for your rocks? I would love to do that, too. I think my better half has still oil color for me to share. Do you think oil color for rocks is good?

I wonder if they are doing that around here. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for a class.

I must admit that the Rock painting you did has been done to perfection. The edges and the colour combination is so clear and it looks so attractive. In that small surface if one can exhibit suchan art then we must say that the artist has a very good hand and good knowledge of Rock painting.
