A generous gift from a fellow writer

At today's Hinckley Scribblers session one fellow member brought along a bag of books and asked if I would like them. I said Yes! He is trying to clear some space and wanted to divest himself of a set of books on Shakespeare that he had bought when doing an Open University course a few years ago. He knew that I was a Shakespeare aficionado from the fact that I keep writing silly stories with a vaguely Shakespearean theme, so that was why he made the offer. Unfortunately his decluttering has led to a bit of cluttering as far as I am concerned, but that has rarely bothered me in the past!

I can never say no to books but I have a heap that I don't want to keep so I'm busy reading them then donating them. I can imagine how pleased you were to be offered these.

@indexer I can hardly bear to part with books. With retirement approaching and a move of house I will find decluttering difficult.
