We all know that Paul McCartney was with the Beatles. The songwriting duo of Lennon and McCartney remains the most successful in history. McCartney is a self-taught musician and knows how to play bass, guitar, keyboards and drums and has a more than 4-octave tenor vocal range. He has written or co-written 32 songs that have reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Beatle and again as a solo artist. McCartney has received 18 Grammy Awards and has an estimated wealth of $730 million.

Yes, he's still performing. His voice isn't what it used to be.

I am glad he is still performing. Sorry about his voice. I guess that is what happens when one gets older.

Huh? Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings???

“Junior’s Farm” was inspired by their stay in Nashville in 1974, when they stayed at Curly Putnam’s farm. He was a legendary songwriter in Nashville, and his nickname was “Junior” (well, that and “Curly,” given his name was Claude).

I don't recall this one. On our way back from FL we are taking a different route; but it's still too far from Louisville. :-(

He is a remarkable guy, that's for sure. So much music we love has come from him. Definitely one of the best songwriters in history right alongside guys like Dylan, and even Neil Diamond. Oh, and the Bee Gees. Can't forget the Bee Gees. Gosh...there are so many...

@LindaOHio Oh man. You're right. One of the most amazing songwriting teams ever to get together if you ask me.
