She loves Battram Wood!

Sunday is when my wife and I are together when taking our son's dog Okami for her morning walk - at other times it is either one of us or the other.
Battram Wood is probably Okami's favourite - lots of trees to run into and chase squirrels and birds.
The wood is part of the National Forest that stretches across parts of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire. It connects several pieces of ancient woodland but also includes areas that were formerly despoiled by coal mining and are now being reclaimed by the planting of millions of trees.
We live just outside the Forest - about two miles away - but a short car journey takes us to several suitable dog-walking areas.
Okami likes her woodland walks so much that it is not always easy to get her back in the car!

It's sounds an idyllic place to walk a dog - or even a great place to walk without a dog!

Okami is a very lucky pup. Is that a picture of her?
I'm glad trees are being planted, more countries need to do the same thing including mine.
