On my path for frugal, I am spending less than 10 dollars a day.
Today, my breakfast is 3 eggs which work out to around 75 cents and a cup of coffee with milk which work out to around 50 cents. So my morning I spend $1.25.
Afternoon I had a bowl of green bean soup which work out to 2 dollars, a 80 cents mandarin orange and another cup of 50 cents coffee. So on total my lunch work out to be $3.30.
For dinner, I managed to get to two pieces of consumer today fish. It is really good steaming them. $1.50 per piece and another 80 cents mandarin orange. In total it work out to $3.80 dinner.
On the whole today, I ate $8.35 worth of food for the whole day. Tried to lower it further but unfortunate the cost of living is high here so trying to lower it as much as possible is something that I can try but I cannot go too low.
I am drained from work today. I will try to keep myself up as much as possible.

That is great. I am glad you are trying to save money where you can. The cost of food seems to go up and up, and it's not so easy to eat for $10 or under a day.

@kepweng Most people leave a 15% tip for the waitress. It depends on the type of restaurant, and a leser tip is usually given in places where you pick your own food up from a counter, but a waitress comes by and refills drinks etc.
Subway isn't really all that healthy, not when you count in the bread. You can buy salads and wraps from subway, and I suppose theoretically it's healthier than other places here, but most Americans don't do a lot of walking so it doesn't really even out.

@kepweng Well, we can save more if we buy foods and prepare them at home. However, a lot of Americans are so busy that they buy foods out. The healthier foods are more expensive. Even a sit down lunch could cost around $12.00 for the meal and drinks, not including the tip.

We have chicken at home, an orchard and a garden. When the time is right, we don't have to spend money on fruits, vegetables, eggs or chicken meat.

@id_peace But we need to spend money on other foods, and also on the seeds and the things required to be able to maintain a garden. The most important is that we know what we are eating and the taste of homegrown food is way better than the ones you can buy at a market or a store.

That's good. I spent less than 10 dollars today. I had dinner invitation. Female employees were given spaghetti for snacks and I had that for lunch. I had coffee and bread for breakfast.
