Gift I got for hubby's birthday

Today is hubby's birthday. I was hoping he'd stay up till midnight yesterday so I could wish him a happy birthday and surprise him with his present but that didn't happen. So in the morning while he was in the bathroom (I woke up all of a sudden) I went and took the present and put it on his side of the bed. And then I must have dosed off again. I got him a cool Karl Lagerfeld t-shirt and three birthday lotto scratch-offs. I guess he must have been running late because it didn't seem like he even looked at the present. The t-shirt was folded exactly as I had done it last night. And the scratch-offs weren't touched either. I am gonna make him look at his gift first thing when he comes home. Hubby is working 9-9 today. That sucks! I think a person's birthday should be an official day off in companies. It is only fair!

Happy Birthday to the hubs. That's a long work day! Fix him a nice dinner maybe?

For the dinner we had Progresso broccoli, cheddar, and potato soup, pizza from Trader Joe's, and mozzarella and tomatoes with smoked sea salt, olive oil, balsamic vinegar of modena, fresh cilantro and roasted sesame seeds. And for dessert we had tea and pastries I got from a local bakery we love.

@LindaOHio I love Progresso soups. Great to have for when there is nothing to eat or you just feel like soup and don't want to waste time making it.

@lovebuglena Sounds good. I've had that soup before. May even have some in the pantry.

Thank you! I wish he worked normal hours and had major holidays off. All he gets is New Years Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving. All other holidays he works, He works every Saturday and every other Sunday. His day off is Wednesday.

Thank you! Would have been great if his birthday was a day off or at least a short day.

Congratulations! Gappy birthday to him. I hope he looks at his present. Why didn't he take a day off?

He is a car salesman. You don't make money if you take a day off.

@KityCat His work schedule is crazy. And a lot of overtime, for which he doesn't get paid of course.
