On a forced leave because of the corona virus

Romania
March 12, 2020 7:23am CST
The Romanian government has decided to close down every museum and tourist attraction until the 31st March 2020. I work in a castle that is a tourist attraction, so this affects me, too. I will have to stay home until the end of the month. I don't know if I will be paid or not. But I guess there is nothing I can do, but accept this. I will have more time to read, watch movies and to myLot.

Sorry to hear that. I hope the world overcomes this pandemic. The government is doing everything known in their capacity to contain the spread of virus. In our place school has been suspended for a week in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus and lock down is not a far probability if transmission continues.

Schools are also closed down. Let's hope that these measures will bring the expected results.

@pitsipeahie That is very sad. It is a circle which will be hard to stop. But eventually, everything will get back to normal.

I am so sorry that you are in this predicament. Hopefully, this will be enough time for things to die down.

Thank you! I hope that things will cool down. I am not happy with not having to work. I was very enthusiastic that the tourist season will start, but I assumed that this hysteria will damage tourism, big time and that we will have to close.

I’m sorry, but even Broadway is closed as well as many major sporting events.

Yes, so I don't have what to watch, neither. But I can do other things. If the weather is good, I can stay outside more and play with my dog or cats.

That is bad news for you, particularly if you don't get paid. Maybe it's a good time to learn a new language.

I think I will find out if I will get paid the next month. I don't think that I will have the patience to learn a new language. I will try to finish the book I started recently.

@JudyEv Yes, that is what I have in mind. I started a book long time ago, but didn't finish it, as every night I was watching football(soccer). Now, that the competitions are suspended, I will have time for the book.

If not, then so be it. I hope that things will get back to normal soon. But we will feel the effects of it for months, I am sure.

@lovebuglena It is not their fault. I understand if I will not be paid for the time I am on forced leave.

@rappeter13 It sucks if the job doesn't pay its workers because people have bills to pay. Hopefully, things will die down and get better.

Although it's an accident,it's also a man-made Calamity. The CCP arrested those people who spoke the truth, and finally let this virus become the plague. As a Chinese People,it's not our duty,we're also the victims of the tyranny of CCP,but still,i want to say apologize to the people on other countries who were suffering in the plague of Coronavirus. To be honest,i don't how this virus come out?but if it's just a natural virus, the reason it came out is because Chinese people eat the Wild animals, including the mouse, bats, frogs and deers etc. For this brutal and savage behaviour of Chinese people and for what it caused,i want to say apologize, and we're very sorry for this situation

It is not your fault! You don't have to apologize! These things happen and unfortunately, people lose their minds and governments don't know how to handle it.
