I dont have these worries as I self Quarantine because I invested money for a bidet! So I wash my butt and not wipe it. I think many Australians wants to self quarantine so they are hoarding toilet paper. Due to the corona virus scares many Australians are like buying 30 packs of toilet paper which lead to shortage. Many people are now fighting over toilet paper in grocery stores. Many groceries in Australia now have a policy that 1 person can only buy 1 pack. I can't relate because I have a bidet!! with soaping option!
A Bankstown mother and daughter have been charged over a toilet paper brawl in Woolworths as supermarkets impose new purchase limits amid on-going coronaviru...

I took out from the bathroom the bidet as I needed a cupboard. It must be around some place. But I will not have it back yet. I can always use a soft wet fabric from an old cotton garment. And a shower is the best.

@CaptAlbertWhisker By all means. Toilet paper is a new way of destroying trees that men found.

It's an unnecessary panic that's making people hoard things. People should act sensibly.

Also of all the things to hoard, its toilet paper they get obsessed with.

Unfortunately, people have become crazy. They clean the shelves out and don't leave anything for the next guy. I wouldn't be surprised to hear stories of violence at stores over toilet paper, paper towels or some other item.

@hereandthere When someone wants to visit my house, I warned them my bathroom is paper free. Also cold water is not that bad if you eat a lot of mexican, korean and Indian food.

Our wholesale stores have a limit of two packs of paper. Stores seems to be completely sold out. I've seen a video online where two females were fighting over toilet paper. It was crazy but made for some good television as the saying goes.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I can see why they would have that policy, The question is do people abide by it. I am not surprised that people are fighting over toilet paper. People need that and 30 packs is a bit too much and not any for others that need it.

I just saw a woman who purchased a thousand dollars worth of toilet paper. You can buy a bidet with dryer and water heater for like 30 dollars.

In my opinion, it doesn't make a sense to buy a lot of toilet paper. At least the food is much more important.

We came from culture of butt washers, so toilet paper is not a need for us.
