I read the Old Farmers Almanac from time to time. I have learned a lot. Since my Dad is no longer around, this reading is like listening to him on many levels.
I just read this article I wanted to share to those who may be interested. Spring 2020 will be the earliest spring in over 100 years.
I find it very interesting to read bout these types of stories. If you too are interested why it is early, I shared a link below.

Too bad we can't really enjoy an early spring.

While most people in this post are rejoicing, us in Arizona just softly cry...since there is no such thing as Spring here, it is just hot and then it gets hotter.

@CarolDM Our Spring is a week long and it just happens at random, this year it has just been raining so must so I don't even know what seasons we are in.

Is that proof of climate change?

No it is not. Equinox and solstices happen earlier and earlier as each century wears on.
That date resonated because each summer and winter also began on the 21st of the month. As every century wears on, the date slips earlier to the 20th and possibly even to the 19th of March

@Alexandoy Every four years from now on—on every coming leap year like 2024, 2028, 2032, and so on—there will be a brand new “record earliest” start to spring.

I love the Farmers Almanac! I don't read it religiously, but I do check it out occasionally!

@CarolDM I have found that the Almanac is often more precise and correct than our local weather forecasters with their expensive computers and technology!

It is so warm here today for the first day of Spring, mid 70s , we turned the air-conditioning on an hour ago.

I don't really want to read it. But want to know how / why it's an early spring, nevermind the earliest. As spring basically starts the same time every year?

Wow! The groundhog was right. It is an early spring this year
I always feel like spring isn't officially here until Easter. Guess we have the Earth's rotation to thank...
