Hey! I'm new to this site, so I do not know much about it. I participated in a bunch of discussions and my profile says that I have done so as well. But, the website doesnt say that I have earned anything yet from my discussions. Is this a glitch? Are your accounts working fine? Please let me know!

Welcome to myLot. I hope that you will find us to be a friendly and helpful community!
The way that earnings work here is fairly unique. Everything you post here has the potential to earn something BUT it won't actually earn anything at all until someone responds to it, comments on it or interacts with it in some way. Just as with any social site, you can encourage people to interact with you by posting meaningful and interesting responses to and comments on other people's posts (as you have been doing).
I suggest that you read the Guidelines (which are just common-sense outlines of what you should and should not do here) and start to post one or two discussions of your own. 'Maintaining' your discussions is as important as making good conversation and, the better your reputation for being someone people want to talk to and discuss things with, the better you are likely to do.
Don't expect earnings here to be anything startling! Consider them as a 'nice little bonus' for the pleasure of chatting to people and making some friends.Most find it not too difficult to reach the $5 minimum payment in a month: it all depends how much time you have to spend here and how much you enjoy interacting with people.

no, we earn when other members like, respond or comment back to us. we earn when we receive likes, responses and comments.

Your first post asks about earnings... *shake my head* (My original first post ask how to use the site and if I could make new friends here. Unfortunately, that post if no longer extant but there are others like you here.)
If I may make a suggestion... try to say something to everyone who talks to you, especially on your discussions... Sometimes I can't figure out what someone is telling me, but I still try to thank them or greet them... anything to get them to continue talking. The more someone talks to you, the better your earnings.
I do hope you enjoy visiting with others here.

What JJ said. But also keep in mind that you are not paid for YOUR interaction with others. You are paid for THEIR interaction back to YOU. So, make sure those comments you leave are such that someone likes or comments back to you. That's where the money is.

@MarbleGlobe200 It does. And avoid responses like that because most people might just simply read that and like it and move on. If you word things right, it almost forces the reader to respond. That's what you want. Make it so that people almost have to say something else to keep the conversation going and the pennies will follow.
For example. THIS comment I have left. If all I said was, "I agree," you might just like it and leave it at that. End of discussion. No more interaction. No more money. The comment I left here almost forces you to say something else, and then we can keep this thing going for as long as we want, racking up the pennies along the way as we do it.
