When Will It All Stop?

I'm afraid there are many people ... all different ages ... that are just acting normal like nothing has changed in our world, our everyday life now.
Is it possible they haven't heard the news? I wonder if they've been been told. I will say this ... maybe they have. When we went out today ... I didn't see but, one child.
I cringed when the mother put the little boy up to sit in the shopping cart. Is that a scary thing or not? Is all of this a dream? Am I still asleep dreaming?
They just closed the North Carolina beaches. Isn't that so strange? This is the time of year people want to begin going there.
Do you sometimes think this feels like a bad dream? It's amazing something so small ... can't be seen ... brought our country, many countries ... the whole planet to its knees.
Each time I listen to the news ... all over the world the cases have increased. When will it all stop?

It's those who aren't heeding the warnings are the ones spreading the virus.

Marilyn, I'm afraid you are right. I saw on our news that as of this morning ... that 51% of people still plan on taking their vacations. I can't believe it.

I live on the east side of my state- a whole lot of folks here are pretty upset with the governor cause he is setting out harsh ways of being due to this virus. The East side acts like the richer, city side of my state are know it all idiots. I think the governor is just watching out for all of the state.

We are seeing what's going on in your beautiful state. We used to come there when we drove a tractor-trailer. I'm so sorry everyone all over the ... world ... wow, the whole world (that just struck home and I paused for a moment) ... is suffering now. It isn't going to end anytime soon. This is something none of us have ever seen before ... it only gives a hint of what people in war-torn countries live with every day in their life ... fear.

@GrannyGee I am fortunate cause I have three acres to roam on when it is nice out, like it was yesterday. Many people in my town don't have that. Yesterday many folks and their kids were out playing in a public park, like nothing is going on. I hate the idea of a police state and yet..... so many folks could be harmed by their need to be outside.

@GrannyGee Today on good old Facebook I saw a notice that a little Espresso biz in my area just was robbed of its food. The poor owner now has no inventory for her small business. Just like you say.

It's quite surreal, isn't it? And it's not anything anyone can run away from - there is no where else to go on this one - it's a world wide thing. It's bizarre and I've never gone through anything like this in my life. I don't think some quite understand the severity of this - I certainly would not have put my child in a shopping cart - not now!
All I can say is may we get through this!

@GrannyGee Life as we know it won't be the same - not for a long time, if ever again. Things are changing by the day here - for everyone no matter who they are - the future is uncertain. It's like nature is pushing the wipe out button

I agree, I hope we can all get through this ... many won't. The sad thing will be if/when people we actually know in our own individual worlds ... sickened, possibly die. This is when all surreal becomes as real as it can be. You are right ... this time ... there's nowhere to run.

Sophie, like you I wish the very same. I wish with my whole person. Sadly (I'm seeming to use that word the most I ever have in my life now) ... even I can't see anything healing quickly. People haven't come together yet to unite ... everyone is too busy focusing on self ... hoarding up, not caring about the other. Of course, we are seeing all these wonderful people who are sacrificing helping others ... thank God for them ... but, we need everyone ... every one. What do you think?

@GrannyGee yes we need to unite to fight this virus. by just staying at home, it means we help those health personnel to do their jobs
