A tavern full of kangaroos

Most myLot friends know that we get a lot of kangaroos visit our smallholding in Western Australia although they are not very tame. However, in the hills area just outside our capital city, Perth, patrons of the John Forrest Wildflower Tavern can enjoy chicken parmigiana, have a cold beer and pat a wild kangaroo at the same time.
Each morning, dozens of kangaroos emerge from the nearby bush and wait for the doors to open. They often hop through the bar or sleep in the courtyard. The manager and staff have a licence to feed the kangaroos. They have been doing so for the past twenty years although kangaroos have been around the pub since the 1940s when it first opened. At dusk, the kangaroos go back into the bush.
A video of the alpha male, Mankey, went viral in 2017. We haven’t been to the tavern so don’t have photos of their kangaroos but here are two of our own mob sorting out a dispute.
Here's a link to the article:
In a pub in a national park on the outskirts of Perth, kangaroo locals who join patrons for a beer have found global fame.

I would like to visit that tavern. Last year there was a news story from my country. It was called "Watch out for kangaroos if you go for a walk in forest" I thought it was a joke at first, but it was true. Some kangaroos had been stolen from a zoo, and they had been seen in the forest. The people who broke into the zoo haven't been caught as far as I know. Maybe they left the kangaroos in the forest because they weren't able to sell them.

@JudyEv I have never been close to a kangaroo, but according to the news some of them live on my island now. I am not sure how many there are.

Somebody didn't get the message to those kangaroos that they should be practicing social distancing right now! Shame on them! Don't those kangaroos know they could be endangering all the other roos? lol

That is so neat..I would love to see it. They better not shut the pub down! Govt. tends to ruin everything.

@JudyEv As they are still wild animals it could be an accident in provoking it. Or something surprising them. Even tame animals can be dangerous if something scares them

What a cool picture. I don't know if I'd like a 'roo sharing my chicken parmigiana. :-)

It is good of them. There is probably more and more every year.
