True Meaning of Family

I was asked by muhammad iqbal @happylife1 to share something from Writing Through the Soul. It only seemed fitting to share this poem here. Many of you are what I would call my soul family.
Love is a powerful word.
But, if you don’t know,
The true meaning,
It means nothing at all.
They say blood
It is thicker than water.
But not if pain and sorrow have
Caused the blood to spoil.
Family is more than
The ones you are born into.
For this is the only
Family’s earthy meaning.
Your true family is your kin
Of the spirit.
Keep these near and
Pushed the other ones away.
For if one isn’t in a class
Of the same kind.
Then their energy suffers great
Pain and sorrow.
Until they find a family of the soul.
For this is what a real family is.
And, their soul will be happy and
Freed from pain and sorrow,
That was caused by what as a
Child, they thought was their family.
