Something Good From Something So Bad

I feel like doing the dance of joy. Finally I got an agreement with a company in San Francisco. It means they have hired me to write for them and it thrills me that I can do so. My first article was accepted and they even told me they liked how I write and thanked me for that. I on the other hand, felt like I should thank them for considering me but I don’t want to sound like a beggar holding out my hand for crumbs. Any way the agreement is signed, another article is done, and I have thanked the Lord and all my Guardian Angels and particularly my darling up above that they’re looking over me and something good can come out of something so bad that is happening now. Other positive signs I see are the usual people who go walking in the afternoons passing by my window. The neighbors walking their dogs, and even the happy sounds of a child’s laughter. Life is going on and people are doing their best to continue to do what they usually would do each day.

Congrats on the writing job. I hope your and they continue being a good fit. It sounds like your state has joined others in the lockdown? I don't keep up with the news much but Michigan went into that mode just a few days ago. I'm a cashier in a major chain so will retain my job so everyone else can eat. It's still chilly here but trying to warm up some do not too many walking inlets that's their habit. I have seen some out with their dogs though.

Congratulations! You haven't mentioned what kind of texts you write. I'd like to know this.

@MALUSE they give me a wide variety of subjects to research and write on. I have written about opening a business in Hong Kong, about SEO and backlinks, about the cost of a horse in the UK and many others Some are short like 700 words and some very long over 2000 words. I think one of the most interesting so far was about scuba diving

@MALUSE no experience required I find the material online then I take what I need to write it up in my own way and style and it is done. My two tools of the trade are Grammarly and Copyscape. I am learning as I go along and usually I can read something and then remember it and write it down like a story I am retelling. I find it interesting and enjoy the variety. I am interested in seeing how much I make from the newest site I write for because they par the most $5 for 500 words and I have written articles over 2000 words. If the first payment is good then it will be a satisfactory experience and I can expect regular pay every 2 weeks.

@RasmaSandra So you don't have to have personal experience concerning the subjects? Where do you find the background material?
