What song could possibly be more obvious. “Yellow Submarine” was the Fab Four’s biggest hit with lead vocals by Ringo Starr going gold at US #2 and UK #1. Paul McCartney specifically wrote the song for Ringo and stated that it was intended as a kids song and nothing more despite political and social interpretations. John Lennon and Donovan polished lyrics. “Eleanor Rigby” was flip side to the 45 and the song appears on “Revolver” and 1968 animated “Yellow Submarine” movie soundtrack. Among those performing additional background vocals are Marianne Faithfull, Patti Boyd (then George Harrison’s wife), Beatle manager Brian Epstein and Rolling Stone Brian Jones.

This isn't the popular opinion but I am not a huge fan of the Beatles. I think they are overrated

I think they are overrated, too. I think their influence on society was much more significant. However, I do like a lot of their songs, and I love Revolver. A great album, no matter who made it.

We all live in a yellow quarantine....
“Submarine, ah ha!” That was a fun, lighthearted song.

The only album I have by The Beatles is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. My mom bought it. Not sure where it is. Maybe it's in their house because I don't see it with all my CDs.

Beatlemania was rocking the Philippines too in the 1960's. The band came to perform here but were unceremoniously booted out of the country because they offended then first lady Imelda Marcos, wife of strongman Ferdinand Marcos. They politely decline a breakfast invitation from Imelda but she considered it a snub. Not use to being said no to, it infuriated her.
